If everything goes smoothly, Gamefly is a worthwhile service. It saves you money on games, and sends them right to your house.
However, if ANYTHING goes wrong--game gets lost, wrong charges, login troubles--good luck. Their customer service is nonexistent. They don't respond to queries through their website, you have to dig through other parts of the web to find a phone number because they don't post it on their site, and they only have customer service 4 hours a day 9-1 PT. And it's 9:45 PT right now and no one is answering. The voicemail claims they have live chat help on the site, but there's not a shred of evidence to that effect. If I hadn't actually received games from them in the past, I'd think they were some kind of scam because they make it so dang hard to get a hold of anyone.
Also, I created an email address specifically to use with Gamefly, and shortly thereafter, began getting loads of spam to it. I don't recommend giving them your main email addy. |
