| Very Slow to get shipped |

I ordered on 4/25 and in the remarks asked to have shipped quickly as we were ready to plant. As of 5/5, none of my seeds had been shipped. They had shipped the Asparagus on 5/1 or I would have cancelled the order. I was told to expect 3-4 weeks. My order status says I will receive them 5/6 to 5/10 and they aren't shipped yet. I suggested that their website should state shipping times.
The representative had a hard time believing that over 95% of what I order is shipped (not received) within 2 days.
With something like seeds that one needs to get planted on a certain date, this company should properly quote shipping times. Who would think seeds would be backordered? I just got the seeds and they are all in Gurney's envelopes, no brand names. That's fine as long as they grow well. The big question is, why such a delay when it is their own product. I have ordered hundreds of things on-line and this is the slowest to get something shipped that I've ever faced unless it has been clearly stated on the site that the item was backordered.
I'll find somewhere else to buy my seeds next time and read reviews on purchases from now on even for large companies.

The website is pretty decent on the naviagtion and also products being so various. However, you have to read everything in the website. The review before mine should have read the statement from the website stating the shipping dates. They are seasonal shippers on most of their products thats how they save on shipping by doing it 4 to 8 times in the year varying on the product. However, on certain products they shipped it on time like for example soil tester sensor or organic bug repellent or the aids. ITS BASICALLY THIS ANYTHING THAT IS GROWING SUPPLIES OR AIDS ARE GROUND SHIPPING AND ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS MAIN PLANTS OR SEEDS ARE SEASONAL SHIPPED. However, this is the issue and I do agree with the other review person about the seeds they do shipped it the wrong season to grow mine was shipped in fall but they are supposed to begin grow or planted in early spring. Which they could have sent it in spring but they didnt so I have to hold on to it until then. But they dont charge you until they sent you the products. They #1 reason to buy from this website is for the warranty........ ITS LIMITED LIFE TIME WARRANTY...... Meaning if it die within the life of the plant they'll replace it. For example, concord grapes if it average life is 10 years for those 10 years they'll replace it anytime for free including shipping for free. Some plants is life time but to tell you the truth the way the economy is going now I dont even know they will be viable as a company. However, I heard over the internet the business should be booming now because people are looking for way to save. And growing your own food is the best way.... By the way they have always a coupon like 1/2 off. Its either buy "$40 dollars and get $20 off" or the " buy $50 and get $25 off". You just have to find it on the net. Also, if you buy always go through the webpage the reason why is because the net is the most up-to-date on what they have in-stock usually. If you order on the phone specials on the net wont show up on their computers or sale show up and prices are cheaper on the website. And finally, most the products are cheaper at the store like homedepot or lowes however its also rarely available. But the coupon evens everything out and also certain rarities could be brought. Another final word the growing supplies aid its always cheaper at homedepot or lowes however they are seasonal and rare for certain growing aids so if you can wait and compare then wait. But if you cant wait and want to make sure you get what ya like then gurney's for you. Also they have sister websites check them out its not bad and they have the same type of coupon 1/2 off. |
