Terrific Deals

I have purchased from Overstock many times. I purchased several area rugs and what a deal they were! They were more beautiful in person. I've purchased a number of books and CDs and you can't beat the price. I've had no problems with returns (I returned a pair of earrings because I didn't love them when they arrived). I've even purchased furniture and what a deal on shipping! I highly recommend this site.

Be careful ordering large items from overstock. I ordered a 7x11 84 pnd rug on 11/29/08 and I have not received it. UPS lost the package. How do you loose a rug? Overstock friendly customer service did not seem to eager to resolve the mystery of the lost rug. I did get a credit, but I really wanted the rug. Overstock had no more in stock to reship to me so I am out of luck and not happy with the whole process.

Yarra 4-drawer buffet

For the money, great piece, had problems with screws which damaged drawer, "O" was gracious and resolved immediately. Daughters have bought large pieces also, overall very pleased -- just be a knowledgeable consumer.

OVERSIZED ITEMS

Had good experiences with "O" so much so I ordered a 9 pc dining room set. Took forever over 2 mths to ship, then it arrived damaged with the whole side of the table broken off. Was really anxious to have in my home now set is out of stock and took several pick up attempts, days off work b4 the freight co and Overstock got it right. 3 mths later still have no dining room set. Would stay away from their oversized items!

Cover yourself and ask ahead of time

You have to call and ask cust serv to verify product descriptions.(get their name & keep it just in case) In particular on bedding products. They will give you a fitted sheet corner depth measurement & then when you get the sheet set package, you find out the measurement on the web site is WRONG and you have to go thru hell to get them to refund shipping costs both ways. I loathe having to return something to them. Such a hassle !!! Amazon.com is a piece of cake compared to OS.com. Just be careful, Customer reviews of a product state numerous times something in the product description is wrong and yet OS.com never corrects the description error. I have been burned many times. Lastly, their prices in many, many cases are not that low. Check your sources before you buy a product. Know what it sells for. Their retail comparison prices are....well....just not truthful and accurate. I'll leave it at that.
