| Terrible Customer Service |
Reviewer : Vince (Hollywood, FL) |
| I ordered a backpack/schoolbag from rocky mountain trail.com. I needed it for some college courses I was taking as I was going sort of bare handed, juggling materials from my car to the class.
Rockymountaintrail.com chooses to offer a lower cost shipping service where it starts at UPS but then goes into the USPS system.
The first shipment apparently had a bad zip code, and when the package was tendered to USPS they returned it to the shipper.
Patty (the single customer service rep at rocky mountain) charged me to reship the package. I needed the bag, and ended up signing off on the reshipment. I corresponded with Patty to double check the shipping address as well as checked with the USPS to make sure it was correct. Patty said the package was addressed as I had asked, and the USPS said the address was fine for shipping.
Lo and behold, the package was fine in the UPS system, but hit USPS and got returned again to the shipper!
The only two things that could be causing it were that either Rocky Mountain failed to address the package as I had asked them to, or USPS screwed up. In either case, Rocky Mountain took NO RESPONSIBILITY.
Patty challenged that I could have paid for a higher shipment price and probably gotten the package. In essence, they were blaming ME because I assumed that by paying for a delivery service, I would, you know, GET DELIVERY OF MY PACKAGE.
If rocky mountain has issues with their service providers not making delivery accurately, they should try to hold them accountable and not shift blame to the customer that is just trying to get their merchandise.
Patty and her manager didn’t even volunteer to contact the USPS to figure out the issue with their delivery. I ended up contacting them myself and was able to get someone to look for the package. Still pending to see if they find it or not, but at least they are trying.
Everyone, if government employees can care more and provide better service than rocky mountain, lets face it, it speaks more of their customer service than anything |
