| I ordered a treadmill from the Sports Chalet. I was notified it had shipped in a timely manner and given an estimated delivery date. I waited until a week beyond that date to call and check the status of the order. I was told it would be here by the end of the week. When the end of the week came there was still no delivery. I again called customer service. This time I was told the shipment was only one day late. I pointed out that it was much later than that according to the estimated arrival date they provided (nearly two weeks beyond that date at time of call). I told them I would like to cancel the order because it had been literally 4 days shy of one month since I had placed the order. I was told I was not allowed to cancel the order since it had been shipped. I was also told that it could take up to 14 days for the shipper to respond to their lost merchandise ticket. So, even though I had already waited a month, I had no choice but to wait up to two more weeks. If the item was not located and shipped in that time they would then allow me to cancel my order. The cost savings over other stores isn't worth it if you can't get the item in a timely manner. Especially, if they aren't willing to resolve issues in a timely manner. BTW, I was told it wasn't their fault it was the shippers! |
