Poor Customer Service
Ordered birthday item 8 days before desired date, opted for "free 3-day shipping upgrade," placed order online. After receiving email confirmation of order, noticed no mention of shipping upgrade so I called the company's "customer service" (term VERY loosely applied here) and was assured by the gentleman w/ whom I spoke that yes, it would receive the upgraded shipping and yes, it would definitely arrive by my mother's birthday. Called "customer service"the morning of my mother's birthday to check on this. They had no record of my conversation w/ them earlier, item had only shipped the day before so obviously it wasn't going to be on time. NO apologies, no responsibility taken, no offer to make it right...basically it was tough sh*t...very unimpressed w/ attitiude. Almost exactly the same response from "customer service" manager. Couldn't even cancel order since it had already shipped. Never use Viva Terra if you need it in less than 2 weeks and don't order online...actually, just don't use this company! They were totolly uncaring!

Viva Terra is terrible
This company sucks. Search the web and read other reviews before you buy from them, if you dare. I ordered a gift for a client in December in advance of the order deadline for it to be received in time for the holidays. I e-mailed them twice about the status of the order as I did not get a message saying it had been shipped or hear from my client that it had been received. Nobody answered my e-mails, so I called twice. The first time I was told it would be shipped in 24-48 hours. On Dec. 23 I was told it had been shipped on the 17th and would be delivered the next day (the 24th). Both times the "customer service" people were lying. The item was finally delivered on January 2. Then, there was supposed to be a rebate on this item and they refused my request for it because they said it had to be postmarked no later than Jan. 13. They sent my request back to me showing it was stamped as received Jan. 11! Totally incompetent, and I can't get over their lying to me -- twice. Inexcusable, and no response to my complaints. Of course. Save your money and your blood pressure -- shop elsewhere.

Crappy service
While I've had decent service in the past, this Christmas was the absolute worst. On December 11, my husband ordered some dishes I had wanted for literally years. They supposedly were shipped to arrive in time for Christmas. However, due to a "system error" they weren't shipped until December 28, and as of January 2, I don't have all the dishes. So-called customer service repeatedly told my husband that the dishes were shipped and would arrive--guaranteed--before Christmas. Let me say these dishes were NOT cheap! Somehow when I spend $400 I expect at least the same customer serice promised when I only spent $100. I'm through with this company. They may be green, but they're not honest.

Horrible customer sevice
Dealing with this company has been the worst online experience EVER.Order was not shipped, they will not cancel order, won't tell me when I will get it.Have given me numerous BOGUS tracking #'s. have sent numerous emails, spent HOURS on the phone. This was supposed to be a xmas gift. it was ordered on 12/17 3 day air - website said 12/18 was cutoff for guaranteed christmas delivery - still waiting for product to show up.

Viva Terra
Viva Terra is the most unethical company I have ever dealt with. I have requested to be removed from their mailing list 8 times but they will not!! It has been two years since I made a HUGE mistake and bought a gift certificate from a friend. They promised me they would not send me one catalog but I recieve about 10 a year. I HATE them. PLUS, they sold my name and address to other companies and I began getting more junk mail. One company told me specifically that they bought my name from Viva Terra. When I called Viva Terra about selling my name they lied and said they don't do that. Argh!!! Do NOT buy from this company EVER!!!

Vivaterra is horrible
The quality of their products nowhere compares to what you see on their site. I returned some gifts from my wedding (paying a hefty shipping upcharge), only to have them claim they 'never received it' when I went to use the credit (I had received a call that they did receive it shortly after I sent it back). I can't wait to get rid of this credit.

shipping/product
This company is way too high priced for the items. I got the dessert bowls and saucers. Although cute, totally impractical...way too small and the bowls slide right off the saucers since there is no depression to hold them in place. Returning items is costly and then they charge you to resend. Not worth the trouble.

NOT SO GREEN
I read all your reveiws and decided to order an item from Viva Terra. What a mistake. I have never seen an item so misrepresented than the one I bought. The picture showed a brightly colored cheery recycled outdoor rug. What they sent me was dull and ugly. I feel CHUMPED. For a company that is concerned with being green the green I can see is the 40.00 dollars I have spent in shipping this item back and forth. How green can they be when they are wasting time and gas. DO NOT BUY FROM VIVA TERRA!

Believe the reviews
VivaTerra is a horrible company. I ordered 2 wooden cube ottomans. When they arrived they were not at all as represented in the catalog, and they were inadequately packed so they were damaged during shipping. The company was impossible to deal with, and as a result I spent hours on the phone arranging return shipping and refunds. Buyer beware!

Poor Quality Products
I ordered a bag from Viva Terra several months ago. While its very pretty, and I receive constant compliments on it, its a piece of crap. The construction is so poor Ive had to have the inner lining resewn twice as the seams just unravel and come apart. The strap broke off the bag 3 times until I finally took the whole thing apart and reconstructed it myself with stronger materials. So essentially, I paid $110 for a bag I made myself. Awesome. They have a great concept, but horrible quality.

recycled railroad tie bookcase
I paid about $1200 for this and it arrived with one of the shelves almost broken in half. Customer service was unbelievably rude and after many phone calls and threats on my part to replace the board - they wanted me to return all four boards and exchange them all, which would cost me an arm and a leg, they are very heavy. They finally agreed to replace the one board, but would not pick up the old one, leaving me to have to get rid of it on my own, no small feat. The saving grace is that it is a beautiful piece of furniture and looks great in my living room.
